Thirty-seven years of it

Colonial has been working in Putnam and northern Westchester since 1989 — long enough that a good deal of the work now is going back to properties we built the first time.

What we do

Three things, and they are the same three things we did in 1989

Optimise what is already there, build what is missing, and keep it open in winter. Most properties need two of the three; almost none need all of it at once.

Photographs from our own jobs. We have not captioned these with towns, because the records that came with them do not say which town each one was in — and a made-up location under a real photograph is not worth the credit it would buy.

Where we work

Four towns, and each one builds differently

A lakefront lot in Mahopac, a ledge outcrop in Yorktown and a Woodbridge-loam slope in Cortlandt Manor are three different jobs wearing the same description. These pages say what changes.

Our yard is at 45 Sprout Brook Rd, Cortlandt Manor, NY 10567, which is why Cortlandt Manor gets the fastest response and why the snow route starts there.
